U2 will reportedly play a third concert at Croke Park this summer, with the show set to take place on Monday 27 June.

According to The Star, a further 80,000 tickets are expected to go on sale for the third Croke Park date in coming weeks, after an agreement was reached between the band and the GAA.

The paper quotes U2 manager Paul McGuinness as saying: "We have resolved the issues with the GAA and are delighted to announce that U2 will play a third show at Croke Park on Monday June 27."

McGuinness is also quoted as saying that the band are: "very excited to be playing to a quarter of a million people in their home town and we're going to do all we can to ensure that tickets are distributed fairly."

Promoters have not yet confirmed that tickets for a third concert will go on sale. The band are already scheduled to play Friday 24 June and Saturday 25 June at the venue. Both shows sold out within an hour of going on sale.
