French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is ensuring that the heat is on in the reality television contest 'Hell's Kitchen', reducing trainees to tears with his temper.
The celebrity chef was outraged last night when contestant Henry Filloux-Bennett used beef stock to make a vegetarian meal.
Smashing a plate against the wall, Novelli screamed: "Get out of the kitchen. Get out from here." He then threw metal cooking utensils on the ground as he chased the trainee out of his kitchen.
Novelli later explained: "I did it to wake him up, bring him back to speed so that the team can keep on growing."
The French chef then nominated trainee Henry for eviction from the show. Fellow head chef Gary Rhodes nominated Simon Cook for eviction from his group, leaving the viewers to decide who should remain. The public later voted 22-year-old law student Henry off the show.
Celebrity diners at the restaurant last night included Myleene Klass, Keith Floyd and Natalie Appleton.
The winning trainee at the end of this year's series will be awarded £250,000 to open up their own restaurant.
