Ian McKellen and Alfred Molina have joined the cast of director Ron Howard's adaptation of Dan Brown's bestseller 'The Da Vinci Code'.
Variety reports that McKellen will play the wealthy Sir Teabing in the film, with Molina playing Bishop Arigarosa.
Tom Hanks and Audrey Tatou head the cast as symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptographer Sophie Neveu.
Production on the film begins in June with a 19 May 2006 release scheduled.
