The RTÉ co-financed film 'Omagh' was among the winners at the British Film and Television Academy Awards in London last night.
The film, which has won numerous awards since being broadcast and subsequently released last year, was the winner in the Best Single Drama category.
Omagh's writer, Paul Greengrass, who also directed the film 'Bloody Sunday', was the recipient of the Alan Clarke Award for Outstanding Creative Contribution to Television.
'Shameless' was named Best Drama Series, with 'Coronation Street' winning the award for Best Continuing Drama.
'Little Britain' creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams were the winners of the Best Comedy Performance award and the show was also named Best Comedy Programme or Series.
Rhys Ifans was named Best Actor for 'Not Only But Always', with Anamaria Marinca taking the Best Actress award for her performance in 'Sex Traffic'.
'Sex Traffic' was also named Best Drama Serial.
The Lew Grade Award for Entertainment Programme or Series went to 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The Dylan Moran-starring 'Black Books' was named Best Situation Comedy.
