Mel Gibson is reportedly planning on making a film about the life of Pope John Paul II, following his recent death at the age of 84.
Hollywood actor and director Gibson is reported to have sent a film crew to Rome to record the public outpouring of grief at the late pontiff's funeral in the Vatican City last Friday.
Gibson's 2004 film 'The Passion of the Christ' was reported to have taken $604m at box offices worldwide.
It was also recently reported that Gibson was working on another religious film, telling the story of the children of Fatima, who claimed to have seen a vision of the Virgin Mary in 1917.
