George Clooney is in talks and Cate Blanchett has entered negotiations to star in Steven Soderbergh's new film 'The Good German'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the romantic thriller tells the story of an American journalist who travels to Berlin to cover an Allied summit about the future of post-World War II Germany.
But he is secretly there to search for his former lover and finds himself plunged into a mystery when the body of an American soldier is found in the Russian zone.
Clooney is producing the film with Soderbergh through their company Section Eight Productions.
