Director Peter Jackson's announcement about making two back-to-back sequels to 'King Kong' has turned out to be an April Fool's Day joke.
Jackson announced that the two movies, to be called 'Son of Kong' and 'King Kong: Into the Wolf's Lair', would star Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody and Jack Black.
He also revealed shots of the 'Son of Kong' script, early footage and designs for monsters to appear in the movie, during his announcement on the web video diary series for the current 'King Kong'.
It was later revealed that the story was part of an elaborate April Fool's joke, involving the castmembers and crew of the 'King Kong' movie.
