Eddie Murphy has been lined up to star in a new action comedy called 'Johnny Blaze'.
Variety reports that the film is being written by 'Harold and Kumar Get the Munchies' scriptwriters Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg.
It tells the story of a former rap star who becomes a private eye and solves crimes in the hip-hop world.
Murphy's most recent film on Irish cinema screens was 'Shrek 2'.
