It is reported that a new deal will see 'ER's run extended by at least two more years.
The Hollywood Reporter, quoting sources, says that TV giant NBC is close to finalising a deal for two more seasons of the medical drama series, covering the 2006 to 2007 and 2007 to 2008 seasons.
Both NBC and the show's producers, Warner Bros TV, declined to comment.
The current series of 'ER' can be seen on RTÉ 1 on Sunday nights at 9.30pm.
