RTÉ 2fm presenter Larry Gogan is to be awarded the highest accolade of the Irish music industry.

The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) will present the veteran DJ with the IRMA Honours Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Irish music.

Gogan will be presented with his award at a special ceremony tomorrow night. Broadcaster Terry Wogan will present the award.

Singer Christy Moore was the first to be awarded the IRMA Honours Award last year.
