The nominations for this year's Sony Ericsson Empire Awards have been announced, with 'Enduring Love' and 'Shaun of the Dead' leading the nominations with five each.
'Enduring Love' directed by Roger Michell was nominated for Best British Film and Best British Director, alongside 'Shaun of the Dead', which was directed by Edgar Wright.
Samantha Morton was nominated for Best British Actress for her role in 'Enduring Love' as well as Keira Knightley (King Arthur), Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake), Kate Winslet (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead).
The Best British Actor nominations are: Daniel Craig (Layer Cake), Rhys Ifans (Enduring Love), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), Paul Bettany (Wimbledon) and Paddy Considine (Dead Man's Shoes).
'Spider-Man 2' picked up four nominations: Scene of the Year, Best Film, Best Director for Sam Raimi, Best Actor for Tobey Maguire and Best Actress for Kirsten Dunst.
Julie Delpy (Before Sunset), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village), Uma Thurman (Kill Bill: Vol 2) and Cate Blanchett (The Aviator) were also nominated for Best Actress.
Tom Cruise (Collateral), Johnny Depp (Finding Neverland), Matt Damon (The Bourne Supremacy) and Jim Carrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) join Maguire in the Best Actor category.
The other nominations for Best Film are 'Kill Bill Vol 2', 'The Bourne Supremacy', 'The Incredibles' and 'Collateral'.
The Empire Awards will be handed out at a ceremony on 13 March.
