British rapper Dizzee Rascal has been arrested for allegedly carrying an illegal pepper spray.
Rascal was a passenger in a car which was stopped by police early this morning in East London.
The 20-year-old rapper and the 34-year-old driver were both arrested and the driver was charged with several offences before being released on police bail.
Three other men in the car were searched and released.
Dizzee Rascal, whose real name is Dylan Mills, found fame with his debut album 'Boy in Da Corner', which won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize in 2003, becoming the first rapper to win the award.
