Actress Lesley Ann Warren has been cast as the mother of Teri Hatcher's character Susan Mayer in the hit series 'Desperate Housewives'.
Variety reports that Warren will play the high maintenance Sophie Bremmer in the show.
She seeks daughter Susan's help because she has boyfriend trouble.
Warren, whose credits include 'The Limey' and 'Will & Grace', is cast in one episode, but parental roles on comedies and comedy dramas tend to be recurring.
