Steven Spielberg's upcoming film on the 1972 Munich Olympics is now set to be released in the US on 23 December.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film had been due to begin shooting last year but Spielberg decided to have rewrite work done on the script.
Spielberg then turned his attention to his Tom Cruise-starring adaptation of HG Wells' 'War of the Worlds', which is due in Irish cinemas this summer.
The director now plans to begin shooting his Munich film in the summer; it is believed to focus on the terrorist attack on Israeli athletes at the 1972 Games and its aftermath.
