The BBC has announced that actor Steve McFadden is to return to 'EastEnders' as tough guy Phil Mitchell.
McFadden, who was last seen in the ailing soap on Christmas Day 2003, will return in the early spring.
His character has been on the run after being set up for an armed robbery by Den Watts (Leslie Grantham).
Commenting on his return, McFadden said: "I can't wait to get back to 'EastEnders' and settle a few scores".
Another 'EastEnders' favourite Barbara Windsor is to return to soap this summer as Mitchell's mother Peggy.
