Eva Mendes is to star opposite Nicolas Cage in the big screen adaptation of the Marvel comic 'Ghost Rider'.
The Hollywood Reporter says the film tells the story of a former stuntman (Cage) who lets his body host a vengeful spirit so he can protect his true love (Mendes).
The film will be directed by 'Daredevil' director Mark Steven Johnson.
Mendes, whose credits include 'Training Day' and '2 Fast 2 Furious', will next be seen on Irish cinema screens opposite Will Smith in the comedy 'Hitch'; it opens on 11 March.
