Ricky Gervais has told the BBC that Hollywood actors Samuel L Jackson and Ben Stiller have signed up to appear in an episode each of his new sitcom ‘Extras’.
British stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet have also agreed to appear in the show in which Gervais will play a struggling actor who complains about the stars.
The creator of the hit comedy ‘The Office’ said he had drawn up a list of stars that he wanted to be in the show and they had all agreed.
"We wanted actors who had iconic status but that we could also deconstruct," he said.
"I didn't want to start revealing names until it was all sorted because people just mention people who haven't even been asked,” he added.
Gervais and his writing partner Stephen Merchant are in the process of refining the scripts for the six-part show.
