Elton John has performed a charity concert in Paris, to raise money for rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the tsunami disaster.
The concert, which was attended by an estimated 2,700 people, was held at the Bastille Opera House in Paris.
The charity event, which lasted almost three hours, was attended by French president Valery Giscard d'Estaing and his wife Anne-Aymone.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the work of Fondation pour l'Enfance (Foundation for Childhood). The charity is currently trying to rebuild a children's shelter in Moratuwella, Sri Lanka.
John is also amongst the stars lined up to record a cover of Eric Clapton's 'Tears in Heaven', with proceeds going to the Disasters Emergency Committee's Tsunami Earthquake Appeal.
