U2 have postponed the announcement of their world tour dates, details of which were due to be released this week.
It was previously announced that the tour would begin on 1 March in Miami, with the band provisionally scheduled to play UK dates in June.
Manager Paul McGuinness said in a statement posted on the band's website: "We've postponed the announcement of the tour because the routing is still being worked on. As soon as we get everything confirmed over the coming weeks, we'll let you know."
A spokeperson for the band would not comment on media reports that the announcement of tour dates was delayed due to a family illness.
