The BBC has decided to postpone the broadcast of docu-drama 'Supervolcano' in the aftermath of the Asian tsunami disaster.
The docu-drama, about a massive volcano eruption in Yellowstone National Park, was originally due to be aired at the end of January, but has now been postponed until a later date.
It was believed that the two-part series, reported to one of the most expensive in the history of the BBC, may cause offence if screened so soon after such a huge tragedy.
'Supervolcano' uses special effects to create a picture of the aftermath of a massive volcano, which results in the deaths of thousands of people.
A spokesperson for the BBC said: "We just don't feel it's appropriate to show at this time." The production of 'Supervolcano' is reported to have cost in the region of £2.8m.
