It is reported that 'The Mummy' star Rachel Weisz is to play the lead role in a new historical drama called 'James Miranda Barry'.
Production Weekly says that the film is based on the true story of a woman who graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in the early 1800s disguised as a man and served as a male surgeon in the British military.
The film will be directed by Marleen Gorris, whose other credits include 'The Luzhin Defence' and 'Mrs Dalloway'.
The cast also includes Sean Bean, Sean Pertwee and Janet Suzman.
