Halfpenny favourite to take dancing crown

'EastEnders' actress Jill Halfpenny is favourite to be crowned dancing champion in tonight's 'Strictly Come Dancing' Champion of Champions special.

The 29-year-old actress, who plays Kate Mitchell in the soap, will battle it out against other contestants from the last two series of the BBC ballroom dancing show.

Halfpenny, who is currently playing Roxie Hart in a West End production of 'Chicago', is 1-3 favourite to win tonight's show.

Amongst the other contestants taking part are Natasha Kaplinsky, Lesley Garrett, Denise Lewis, Martin Offiah and Aled Jones.

'EastEnders' star Chris Parker was also due to take part in the show, but pulled out after taking sick leave from the soap.

Comedian Julian Clary was also forced to withdraw from tonight's 'Strictly Come Dancing' special after committing to a pantomine.
