An early photograph of U2 by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn was sold at an auction in Dublin yesterday for €12,000.
The signed photo of the band posing in a field of long grass in Sweden was taken in 1982.
"We believe it to be the earliest photo of the band by Corbijn to reach the auction market to date," Jane Beattie, head of the fine art department at auctioneers James Adam & Sons, told Reuters.
