'Coronation Street' character Katy Harris is set for a dramatic exit from the soap early next year when she stabs her dad to death.
According to reports, Katy, played by 21-year-old Lucy-Jo Hudson, stabs her dad Tommy after the pair have a blazing row.
Tommy (Tom Craig) is enraged when he finds out that his daughter is carrying Martin Platt's (Sean Wilson) baby. Katy deliberately got pregnant by Martin in order to trap him.
The murder leaves all fingers pointing towards Martin, but Katy's mum Angela (Kathryn Hunt) tries to take the blame when she finds out what happened.
Once the dust has settled on the drama, son Craig, played by 15-year-old Richard Fleeshman, will be the only member of the Harris clan to remain in Weatherfield.
The scenes are set to be broadcast early in the New Year.
