Sligo singer Trevor 'Tabby' Callaghan failed to reach the final of 'The X Factor' on Saturday night.
Tabby, who was championed by judge Sharon Osbourne, sang songs by U2 and Rod Stewart on Saturday's show.
Over 4m votes were cast by the public, who chose Louis Walsh's act G4 and Simon Cowell's act Steve for the final.
Commenting after his departure from the show, Tabby said: "I'm
delighted that I've come this far. I got what I came for, I got the exposure and I got to meet Sharon."
