RTÉ Television today revealed details of its festive programme line-up, with a menu of the best in home-produced Christmas specials, Irish network movie premieres and a dramatic year-end finale in 'Fair City'.
'Fair City' airs on Christmas Day and the one-hour special promises to be a drama-filled affair not least for Nicola who, after a turbulent year, decides to confront her sister Philippa and her partner Maher about their affair.
Also on RTÉ One at 3.40pm you can catch the Irish network premiere of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and later that evening you can see Pierce Brosnan as 007 in 'Die Another Day'.
Comedy highlights include 'Killnaskully - The Nativity' featuring Pat Shortt and 'Des Bishop Live at Vicar Street' both on RTÉ One on Christmas Day.
Fans of 'The Office' have the chance to catch the show’s crescendo in the form of the two-part Christmas Special over on RTÉ Two on St Stephen's Day.
Movie highlights on St Stephen's Day include 'Shrek' and 'Moulin Rouge', both on RTÉ One.
Viewers celebrating the New Year at home, can join Dara O'Briain, regular panellists Colin Murphy and Ed Byrne and some special guests for a festive edition of 'The Panel'.
Tommy Tiernan also features in a special half-hour programme called 'Cracked', while later that night, Gay Byrne invites you to join him and his special guests as they ring in 2005 on 'The New Year Countdown'.
