Matt Damon is in talks to star opposite Robert De Niro in a new spy thriller called 'The Shepherd', which De Niro is also planning to direct.
The Hollywood Reporter says that if Damon signs up for the movie, he will play a career CIA agent in a role that was originally intended to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Production on the film is set to begin on 7 March in New York.
Damon was most recently seen on Irish cinema screens in 'The Bourne Supremacy'.
