'Emmerdale' actress Sammy Winward, who plays Katie Sugden in the soap, has announced that she is expecting a baby next May.
The 19-year-old is engaged to Birmingham City footballer David Dunn. The couple have been dating for two years.
A spokesperson for 'Emmerdale' said: "We are thrilled for Sammy and wish her and David every happiness."
Winward, who has played the part of Katie in 'Emmerdale' for the past three-and-a-half years, is planning to take maternity leave next spring.
