Morning Ireland, RTÉ's flagship current affairs radio programme, is celebrating its 21st season on air.
A special celebration is being held this morning in Studio 1 in RTÉ Radio to mark the occasion of the 21st season of the show.
Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, Noel Dempsey TD, will be present at the celebrations to address the guests.
Current and previous staff of the programme, as well as guests from the world of politics, business and journalism, will gather for the celebrations.
The programme, which launched in Novemeber 1984, has the highest number of listeners of all RTÉ Radio programmes, with a current average of 472,000 people listening each weekday morning between 7am and 9am.
