American TV network Fox is looking to develop a US version of UK soap 'EastEnders'.
According to reports Fox has ordered six scripts from Simon Fuller, creator of the Spice Girls, S-Club 7 and Pop Idol and 'EastEnder's head writer and story consultant Tony Jordan.
Rather than portraying the lives of the working class in East London, the American take on the show will be following the lives of blue-collar families in downtown Chicago.
'EastEnders' has run on BBC1 since 1985.
