Morrissey seems set to be the inspiration for a new theatre show, entitled 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others'.
Producers, who want to use about 22 songs by The Smiths, are currently reported to be in discussions with Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr over their use.
The proposed show will not be about The Smiths, or any of the individual members. Producers have also indicated that the theatre show will not be like any of the other musicals inspired by bands such as Abba and Queen.
According to reports, the 22 songs will run into each other with arrangement from a string quartet. The story will be non-linear, combining elements that are very different from current musical formats.
Producers hope that 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others' will be ready to show at the Lyric Hammersmith next June.
