Tom Cruise and his production partner Paula Wagner have bought the film rights to the Christopher Reich thriller 'The Devil's Banker'.
Variety reports that the story follows a female British spy and a US accountant-turned-agent who join forces to try and stop a terrorist attack by a mastermind involved in moving vast sums of money across the world.
Reich's book was published by Random House in August of this year.
Cruise is currently working on Stephen Spielberg's 'War of the Worlds'.
