The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said the Government will refund the VAT paid on sales of the Live Aid DVDs and CDs.
Yesterday he told Labour's Joan Burton that there were no plans to facilitate a refund, but this morning he told the Dáil that the Government had decided to refund the VAT paid.
The Taoiseach also praised the work of Bob Geldof in raising the profile of Third World issues.
