Actor Jamie Foxx, currently on Irish cinema screens in the Tom Cruise thriller 'Collateral', has signed a record deal with J Records in the US.
Billboard reports that Foxx is due to release an album of contemporary R&B next year.
The 36-year-old released his first album 'Peep This' in 1994; earlier this year he guested with rapper Kanye West on the Twista hit 'Slow Jamz'.
Foxx will soon be seen in the lead role in the upcoming Ray Charles biopic 'Ray'.
