Billboard reports that former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has completed work on his debut solo album and plans to release it in the spring.
Writing about the record on his official website, Corgan said: "I am very excited about the album as I feel I have created something relatively fresh and vibrant and exciting to my ears. I know that I like it and that makes me smile."
Corgan's first book of poetry, 'Blinking with Fists', has just been released by publishers Faber and Faber.
He is now at work on his first novel for Faber and Faber.
