Britney Spears married dancer Kevin Federline at a low-key ceremony in Studio City, California on Saturday.
It has been reported in the US that the ceremony was unexpected, with members of Spears' family believing that they were due to attend an engagement dinner.
In January of this year, Spears married high school friend Jason Alexander in an impromptu ceremony in Las Vegas.
But the marriage was annulled after three days.
