The Strokes have scrapped their plans to release a live album this autumn.

Billboard reports that the album was to feature the band's BBC-recorded show at London's Alexandria Palace last December.

However The Strokes' manager, Ryan Gentles, said that after mastering the album it was felt that it was not up to the standard that the band's fans deserve.

The Strokes are now preparing for rehearsal and demo work on their third studio album.
