Michael Caton-Jones has been confirmed as the director for 'Basic Instinct 2', the sequel to the 1992 erotic thriller.
Producers C-2 recently settled a lawsuit with Sharon Stone over their failure to produce the film, which had been due to happen in 2000.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone will again play the role of seductive novelist Catherine Tramell.
Caton-Jones is currently filming 'Shooting Dogs' and has also directed 'This Boy's Life' and 'Rob Roy'.
