Former Libertines singer Pete Doherty has been given a suspended four month sentence for possession of a four-inch flick knife.
The sentence was handed down at Thames Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Doherty was found with the weapon by police who pulled him over as he drove to his home in East London in the early hours of 18 June.
The 25-year-old has had a very public battle against drug addiction, which led to him having to leave the band.
Following his exile from the Libertines, Doherty has been playing with a new band called Babyshambles.
