An autopsy performed on late funk singer Rick James has failed to establish the cause of his death.
James died on Friday in his sleep; the autopsy found no sign of foul play but "no obvious sign" of what caused the 56-year-old's death.
Results of toxicology tests on the body are due within 10 weeks.
James, whose life was blighted by drug addiction, had suffered a stroke in 1998 and had been in poor health since.
