REM have announced that their upcoming album will be titled 'Around the Sun'.
Billboard reports that the announcement was made on the band's website and the album is due for release on 4 October.
The first single, 'Leaving New York', will be released on 27 September and tracks which could feature on the album include 'Wanderlust', 'I'm Gonna DJ' and 'Final Straw'.
REM guitarist Peter Buck features on the new album from Dublin band The Thrills, 'Let's Bottle Bohemia'. It is due out on 14 September.
