R&B singer Usher has agreed a deal to star in and executive produce a new movie which MTV Films will produce.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is currently known as the untitled Usher project, but it will not be a biopic.
A deal for a soundtrack to the movie is currently in negotiations.
Usher will next be seen as soul legend Jackie Wilson in the Ray Charles biopic 'Ray', which is due out in the US this autumn.
