A US TV network is to produce a revival of Seventies series 'Kojak', with 'Pulp Fiction' star Ving Rhames.
The original show had Telly Savalas playing Lieutenant Theo Kojak. It ran for five seasons on CBS, from 1973 to 1978.
After the series ended Savalas returned to the role for some 'Kojak' TV films.
Rhames has starred in almost 60 films and TV shows, beginning his career in a 1985 made-for-TV adaptation of James Baldwin's novel, 'Go Tell it to the Mountain'.
His breakthrough role came in 1994's 'Pulp Fiction' when he played gangster Marsellus Wallace.
He has also appeared in 'Mission: Impossible', 'Out of Sight' and 'Dawn of the Dead'.
