Mel Gibson's 'The Passion of the Christ' took the award for Best Film at the 2004 Ethnic Multicultural Awards.
The media awards, known as the Emmas, took place in London last night.
'The Passion of the Christ' also won a second award with Romanian actress Maia Morgenstern taking Best Film Actress for her portrayal of Mary Magdalene.
Best Male Actor was Tom Cruise for 'The Last Samurai'.
Other winners included 'ER' actress Parminder Nagra and 'Holby City's Art Malik, former BBC Director General Greg Dyke, the Black Eyed Peas and Lemar.
Bruce Lee, the late martial arts star, won the Legend award. His daughter, Shannon Lee, accepted the award on his behalf.
