A new show, 'Songs in her Suitcase', sees Púca Puppets bring the story of the late actress and cabaret performer Agnes Bernelle  to life, using a combination of puppetry, mask, documentary images, film and music.

It runs in the Project Arts Centre from 25 May to 5 June and features music produced by Philip Chevron of The Pogues,  a  friend and former collaborator of Bernelle's.

The show follows Bernelle's life from her experiences of Hitler's Berlin, to the stages of SoHo, her work as a 15-year-old secret agent for the American OSS as well as her later career.

Her cabaret performances, re-incarnated through puppetry, feature songs by Brecht, Weil and Tom Waits.
