'Pulp Fiction' star Ving Rhames is to play the lead in and executive produce 'Night Train', a biopic about the life of late boxer Sonny Liston.
Variety says that the film will mark the directorial debut of 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Reservoir Dogs' cinematographer Andrzej Sekula, with James Woods set to play Liston's manager and Alfre Woodard and Kristanna Loken also expected to star.
Liston beat Floyd Patterson to become heavyweight champion in 1962, but then lost the belt to Muhammad Ali and a rematch in the first round. He died of a heroin overdose in Las Vegas in 1970.
The film will begin shooting in Puerto Rico in the middle of next month, after which Rhames will join Tom Cruise on 'Mission: Impossible 3'.
