Irishman nominated for World Stunt Award

Stuntman Patrick Condren has become the first Irish person to be nominated for a World Stunt Award.

The Awards are the Oscars of the stunt world and Condren has been nominated in the Best Action in a Foreign Film category for his work on independent Irish film 'Intermission'.

Condren was 2nd Unit Director/Stunt Co-ordinator for the film, working with a team that included his brother Joe Condren.

Alan Moloney, producer of 'Intermission', told the IFTN website: "It's fantastic news and great for the Condrens - they did a fantastic job on the film."

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on 16 May.
