Veteran actor Burt Reynolds is to return to the silver screen in a remake of his 1974 film 'The Longest Yard'.
Reynolds starred in the original film as an imprisoned ex-football star who forms a team of inmates to compete against a prison guards line-up.
According to Variety, he will play the role of the convicts' coach. Adam Sandler will take Reynolds' original part and Chris Rock also stars.
Snoop Doog was originally attached to the project but he is no longer involved.
Shooting will begin in July.
