Electronic legends Orbital set to split

Legendary electronic duo Orbital will call time on their 15-year career this summer.

Billboard reports that brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll will play their farewell show at the Glastonbury Festival on 27 June and will release a new album, 'The Blue Album', on 21 June.

The follow-up to 2001's 'The Altogether', 'The Blue Album' is expected to feature guest appearances by former Dead Can Dance vocalist Lisa Gerrard and Sparks.

Writing on the band's official website about their decision to split, Paul Hartnoll said: "We're both pursuing different avenues with our music. And we've been sat, as brothers, in the same room for 15 years now - and studios are always confined spaces - I think it's time for a change."
