'Brave New Girl', a film based on the novel 'A Mother's Gift' by Britney Spears and her mother Lynne, will air on US television next week.
Rolling Stone reports the film will air on the ABC Family channel on 25 April and that both the singer and her mother were executive producers.
The film tells the story of Holly (played by singer and actress Lindsey Haun), a 19-year-old from Texas who gets the chance to attend a prestigious arts school on the East Coast.
Spears does not appear in the film, but Haun sings her song 'Stronger' in the shower during the opening scene, with her onscreen mother also singing along to the track on the radio.
